You're right; at least transitionally it will be particularly important to keep the
PDF files in sync with the program version.

At least on my Windows 7 desktop, the documentation gets removed by the uninstaller
automatically. I can also confirm the behavior of the new link (Gretl guide opens, but not
to the indicated chapter).
