I think that sounds very reasonable.
Just an update:
I have now registered with "Cross Validated" (which to my understanding
is an alias or the same as the Statistics area within Stackexchange.
I've answered some questions there, but the only gretl-related answer
was "no, gretl doesn't have multivariate ARCH".

I'm thinking about registering also with "Stackoverflow" which AFAICS is
the Stackexchange area for questions about the workings of software
packages in general.
So if we want to follow up on that idea to use other forums instead of
setting up our own for gretl-related stuff, maybe other people from this
list could join in.
