a general remark about the Mac-on-PowerPC (instead of Intel) version: A
Powermac Cube (with a G4 PPC cpu) found its way to my home recently.
Assuming it's still working (as I've mentioned, I currently have little
time -- just enough to write these emails to the gretl lists, not to
play around with new hardware...) the only meaningful purpose for it
apart from looking pretty might be to build gretl on it. After having
built gretl on an Intel Mac Mini on OSX 10.5 with Allin's help I'm
optimistic that it could be done. But -- is there still any demand for a
PPC version out there? Maybe I should ask on the users list before I
would start the whole thing (around March would be realistic).
cheers,
