True. gretl 1.9.6 was released today (I posted to gretl-announce,
but maybe should have copied here).
What held things up was my attempt to build a new GTK framework for
Mac OS X that would work for all the variants of that OS that gretl
has supported to date, plus Lion. Not possible, I finally concluded.
So I've added an alternative GTK framework that works fine on 10.6
(and I believe 10.7), i386 only. See the gretl for OS X page for
details.
