That was fixed in git and snapshots a few days ago. The GUI was
withholding the discrete option when a variable had "too many"
distinct values. But that shouldn't apply if the variable has only
integer values, and it doesn't any more.
(The "too many values" thing is really only relevant in relation to
frequency printouts and plots, and xtab. And maybe anyway we were
being too nanny-ish in preventing users from created football
field-sized discrete xtabs.)
