I just tested the latest snapshot (3-10-16), on Win 7 (Enterprise)
with Adobe Reader. I can confirm the "yes on 1" (user's guide
opens to the correct chapter when clicking on the link in the help
window), but the location doesn't update.
What version of Adobe Reader, please? Getting DDE to work is quite
tricky, particularly since Adobe writes the wrong identifier for its
DDE "server" into the Windows registry -- so finding the right
identifier is a matter of informed guesswork. I've tested with
Reader DC 2015 on Windows 8 and that works for updating the read
location.
