Thanks very much for chipping in on this, Lee; Baton Rouge sounds
like a nice opportunity. Also, thanks very much to Jack for
exploring the Ancona option.
I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, but as coder-in-chief I
should perhaps confirm that Ignacio has taken on the
responsibility of setting up the gretl conference schedule (for
which I'm very grateful), and after consultation he has invited
the Polish contingent to organize the 2011 conference (that is,
Tadeusz and Pawel Kufel and Marcin Blazejowski -- if they will
please excuse the ASCII-fication of their names for email
purposes). Further details should be forthcoming before long.
After Bilbao, we conceived the gretl conference as a biennial
affair. If there's enough interest we may want to reconsider the
frequency, and we may also want to consider regional conferences
(probably not solely connected to gretl, but more generally
open-source statistical software). But that's just thinking out
loud, not an offer to do anything myself.
