Related to the pdf user guide on Windows, I think when repeatedly installing
new snapshots (and releases?) the pdf doesn't get updated, or perhaps it gets
updated only in some but not all storage locations. So I've acquired the
habit to delete the pdf file manually every once in a while, then gretl
downloads the current one from the internet.
This problem might become more relevant when there are direct links that
assume the current version.
You're right; at least transitionally it will be particularly
important to keep the PDF files in sync with the program version.
