Yes, using CVS gnuplot. A bug must have been introduced in gnuplot fairly
recently, I think, because this used to work OK. I'll look into the matter.
Well, I beg gnuplot's pardon. The recently introduced bug was mine.
It's now fixed in CVS and the fix will be in the snapshots tomorrow.
