screen (without hiding the other window)?
That's the point. You use one or the other. When you use the pro view, the
basic view is in the background, and vice versa.
Apart from that, your arrangement doesn't sound bad.

Plus, gluing two windows together seems relatively easy on many OSes,
so
as a user one could even consolidate the two.
That's not what I had in mind, but sure, why not.
