Dear Allin, sorry for the delay in answering your message! Just to
remember you, I was talking about the untranslated message
"No such file or directory" when we try to open a non-existing file.
take a look at the picture attached. As you can see, my Windows
PC is configured with the Portuguese option.
OK, so I see. But the OS is apparently not providing a Portuguese
translation of the message.
Can anyone else on Windows, running gretl in a language other than
English, comment on this? We're talking about the OS message, "No
such file or directory", which is emitted when opening a file fails.
One should be able to provoke it by doing /File/Open data/User file
in the gretl GUI, and typing in the name of a nonexistent file. The
question is: is the error message translated or not?
