I do not discard problems with my graphics card drivers, but this is
very strange because all the plots appear OK, except for the 3D plots.
If this is only happening in my system, please don't spend time on this :)

I've never seen a 3D plot looking like that. There's something
wrong with your gnuplot build, or possibly your X server, it seems
to me.
