Lowercase.ox (Gretl can find the file and can open it)
Uppercase.OX (Gretl cannot find the file)

I wouldn't say so. You can type a name like "foo.OX" into the
file-open dialog and it'll work. I think the bug is putting
upper-case letters into a filename extension ;-)
