I'll add a few comments and then surrender.
I haven't read all of this thread carefully and I tend to think some
other menus are likely to be even less intuitively descriptive (to me at
least) than "model", but I think there's some truth to what Lee says.
What distinguishes the entries in the model menu from most of the stuff
in the other menus is that it's about relationships between two or more
variables. (Exception: The bottom part of the View menu also has such
things.) So one could call it Relations or Relationships I guess, but
unfortunately those terms are not very widespread in statistics or
econometrics I guess.
In the end it's very hard to find short and adequate summary terms.
