Well you're right, although it takes some effort to see the extension in some secret
hiding place.
It seems that MSAccess has to do with it, which is installed on this computer and somehow
views the file as its own. (No, I didn't install it!)

I don't believe it! For all your efforts, I still think Windows
is not showing you the true name of the file.
