Now that sourceforge seems to be in full swing again, my thoughts are
returning to the delayed 2018a release.
There are new snapshots in place today; I'd be grateful if people could
give them a go and check that nothing has gone badly wrong. Since we've
had a flurry of bug reports (or at least, "infelicity reports") over the
last few weeks, and I've made quite a few changes in response, I'd like
to make sure that my new changes haven't broken anything serious.
One thing that might be worth checking (not related to your recent
changes, though) is the menu attachment of function packages. Jack told
me about a failure of coint2rec.gfn which I believe could be due to menu
rearrangements some time ago. In principle other packages could also be
partly broken because of that.
I would like to avoid going through all packages manually. Should we ask
for help on the users' list?
thanks,
