I think it's safe to say that if you implement some of what you're talking
about by way of enhancement of kdensity, then we'll be happy to take
patches and put your code into the program.
It might be a good idea to use the Feature Request mechanism at
sourceforge [ http://sourceforge.net/p/gretl/feature-requests/ ]
