OK, no problem. At some point the necessary latex package might then
become part of what's pulled in by the "build-dep" variant of apt? But
only when addons are built by default, I guess.
I've stumbled over this problem again, namely pulling in everything with
'build-dep' wasn't enough to also build the addons. My suggestion is to
try to put the necessary requirements (3 texlive packages, see earlier
in this thread) into the build-dep list. I guess we would have to ask
the Debian package maintainer?
