BTW, some news on that: On Ubuntu (Gtk 3 I think) I can use gedit with
these keyboard shortcuts: one has to do Alt+<number>. (After installing
the word completion plugin.)
In gretl on Ubuntu the same thing doesn't work - is the Alt-key somehow
intercepted there?
