Personally I think the plan "1.7.6 ASAP" implies a release
sooner than the end of this month. As I said before, I don't
work with session files (yet) so I'm not affected myself, but
isn't the current crashing state of the official release a
little embarassing?
I tend to agree with Sven that we really should get 1.7.6 out ASAP
(in days rather than weeks). Unfortunately there are two slight
complications: (1) I can't get access to a Mac to build a 1.7.6
disk image till July 21 or 22. I suppose we could let the Mac
version go out of sync for a short while. (2) I've made some
quite extensive changes in the underlying GUI code since the 1.7.5
release (with the object of removing reliance on deprecated GTK
functions), and it seems that not all the bugs associated with
that change are shaken out yet (but I do think we're close).
