Indeed. I use gretl for preparing very elaborate
and great looking
econometrics lecture notes in Turkish, typeset using the LaTeX beamer
class. Soon I will be making these available on my web page (when it
is ready). Of course I have many graphs in these notes and often I
need to create a graph where I need to put a vertical or a horizontal
line or another regression line (which can compare say, regression
results from 2 different samples). These are very useful for teaching
purposes.
