Don't know too much about Matlab/octave, but your answer made me think
of the obvious, namely that for Python it should be relatively easy to
read the XML-stored bundle. And as Jack pointed out many times, a gretl
bundle is very similar to a Python "dictionary" (a name/key points to a
stored member item).
I also would like to play around with this, but very probably not this week.
