Yes.
Put them wherever you like, but configure
and make gretl according to the recipe you gave. E.g.
mkdir ~/gretlcvs
<check out CVS files>
cd gretl
<configure and build>
Sorry for my dumb questions (I'm really trying to learn), but when I
need to do this (configure and make gretl)?
