Excellent. It will be interesting to see if others like it or not... By golly the Alt-W does work! This helps a lot, though. What do you think about a key command help option in the help pull-down? Most are obvious for veteran users, but new adopters might not be so well informed (me as an example). I like the idea of having tabs, at least in the script editor because I test snipits and then reuse them once I'm convinced they work; it is not uncommon to have 4 scripts open at once. The ability to dock the windows together (command line, output, and main window) would be nice, not critical. On my Mac (which I inherited) the Stata windows don't dock. This is the usual gretl behaviour as well. I assume this is the Linux way. At any rate, the abiltiy to dock them is very nice and I actually prefer Windows for this reason in Stata. It produces a predictable show to give to external audiences (like classes and with what Talha was doing). What do you think about separating the main window from the list of variables? I'd rather that the main window contain the output script or GUI and the variable list could be a separate window? The main window is large and hardly ever changes in any informational way..... I've been away from gretl for a bit (mea culpa!) and when I got back to it these are the issues that I noticed. Oh, also how fast, accurate and easy hansl is!
