Quoting from the current "print" help:

effect is that if the specified bundle contains further bundles, or
arrays of bundles, their contents are listed. Otherwise only the
top-level members of the bundle are listed.

So --tree won't do anything if the named object to be printed is not
itself a bundle. Maybe it should be extended to arrays, or at least
arrays of bundles.
