Well it turned out that it had been deprecated for five years, didn't it?
OTOH was there ever a deprecation warning like with "=" instead of
"==", or
the scanf command? If not, then perhaps spit out a warning now and wait for
one more version.
No, there wasn't a warning so maybe a little grace period is in order.
In any case, all function packages need to be tested I guess (but you
are
doing that anyway I think?).
I haven't done so lately (as you can tell) but it's probably time for
that.
