Your code runs OK here on 2017a. Sending the failing script is not so easy,
I'll see if I can put something together.
Just for the record: Sven did indeed put something together, and I was
able to verify that the problem he discovered -- "catch" not working
properly within a loop within a function -- was fixed by commit e8eae7
to gretl git (2017-05-22). That fix is now in the snapshots.
Allin
