but even if this works around or solves the mentioned problem (haven't
updated my gretl yet so couldn't test), am I right that what I described
is strange and/or a bug, given that apparently I had set the CWD correctly?
(Although you mentioned you couldn't reproduce the bug it still seems to
me that something buggish might be left lurking there...)
