Google encourages assigning a substitute mentor for different
projects. Is there anyone who would like to help by becoming a
secondary or a substitue mentor in some of the ideas?
I could be backup for ideas 2 and/or 3.
2)- Allin and Jack (and others who intend to participate): Could you
please create a user profile from http://socghop.appspot.com/ or by
following the directions on the GSoC page. Google requires this. Could
you also send me your usernames once registered?
I have created a profile: LINK ID = a_cottrell, Public name =
"Allin Cottrell".
4)- There are 2 fields in the application that I could not fill out.
The first is regarding wheather we have a public email. Allin, could
you set up a generic email such as gretl-info@... and put it at the
bottom of the gretl web page?
I'm not really in a position to do this; I don't have charge of a
mail server. Can't the existing gretl list be used for that
purpose? I notice that on Gnumeric's contact page they give their
mailing list address. I'm afraid that even if I could set up a
special address it would just be a dead-letter box.
