Good idea. One small comment: the example menu attachment,
menu-attachment = MAINWIN/Analysis
isn't valid since there's no Analysis menu in the gretl main window
(there is in the model window).
Whooops, you're right. Fixed.
Somewhat related: there have been several fixes for the GUI package
editor
since the 2016d release, so we'd urge anyone working on function packages via
the GUI to update to git/snapshot. Most recently (yesterday) I committed a
couple more changes which are designed to auto-repair packages that may have
got into a broken state.
Thanks. I was also thinking that, with each release, we may offer
statistics on the available packages. How many new packages are there
since the previous release, how many were updated, and so on. I suspect
there are quite a few users out there that are not aware of how much extra
stuff you get via packages nowadays.
