Are you aware of the Alt-X key combo?
No, in fact I wasn't, thanks. But that doesn't count IMHO, because I
modestly claim to have an above-average knowledge of gretl, so given
that it was new to me, how many users do you think will know it? If it
cannot be found in the menus with patience, then it's not really
accessible.
(Or the reverse argument would be, that the add variable window would
also be superfluous, which we don't believe, do we?)
