Hi,
I've just noticed with the example of the ARIMA-specification dialog
that it doesn't fit on my laptop screen from top to bottom. (It's a
12-inch 16:10 ratio screen I think, at standard/native resolution.) And
there isn't any kind of scrollbar.
Any medium-term solution for this interface issue? (Perhaps also with
other windows.)

That happens to me too. The simple solution I have is to move the window
via the alt-drag keyboard-mouse combo, but it dawns on me now that this
may not be possible on non-X11 systems. Is there a way to achieve a
similar effect in Win and/or OSX?

Probably some expert way exists; but I think for a GUI it should be
mouse-only or keyboard-only, not a combo of both required.

Probably some expert way exists; but I think for a GUI it should be mouse-

Well, can you tell us what kind of screen (or rather the resolution) you
have?
Alternatively, if you set it to VGA 640x480, does it still work?

I have an Optiplex 9030 with 1920x1080 resolution. The lowest I can set it to is 800x600,
which reproduces what you're seeing. I didn't search for an optimall threshold,
but 1280x720 works ok.

BTW, unrelated but too trivial to open a new thread minutes after this one:
The command "arma" as mentioned in chapter 27 of the manual (and working
fine) doesn't appear in the command reference list and isn't syntax colored.
And --maybe less trivial-- is there a scripting way to get the estimated
AR and MA roots that are printed out at the end of the arma output?

In git I've rearranged some of the elements in the arima dialog to
make it less tall. Not sure if the reduction in height will be
sufficient, but give it a try.

Further thought. I think a modern GUI program is pretty much
entitled to assume XGA (1024 x 768), at least. So if a dialog is
taller than 768 pixels I'd regard that as a bug, otherwise not.
The revised ARIMA dialog is within that limit.

xwininfo tells me that the revised height of the ARIMA dialog is
around 700 pixels, so hopefully that should be OK.
