Fortunately X users can use the AltGr-' combo to have it, but the poor Windows souls have to rely on some other way. Instead of Crtl+`, couldn't we use Alt-PgUp/Alt-PgDn [...]

Coming out of discussion of the gretl-quartz build for Mac, it seemed to me that since gretl has a multi-window design it might indeed be useful to have a keyboard shortcut for switching between gretl windows. I've now implemented this in CVS and snapshots. On the Mac it's bound to command+` (accent grave). On other platforms it's bound to Ctrl+` at present. For non-Mac users: this is basically like a within-application version of Alt-Tab. If anyone has ideas for a more idiomatic binding for Windows and/or X11, please say. For Mac users: I can't guarantee that this works just as it does with "real" Mac applications. What it should do in gretl is cycle through the gretl top-level windows, raising and giving focus to each in turn, and wrapping around when you get to the end of the list.

Ah, I may have been attaching to the wrong keysym for detection of the release of the Mac Command key. If so, that would explain general weirdness with the command-` business. There's a new snapshot in place that might get this right.

I've tried after a fresh startup of the pc. The window switching keys seem to work in many cases. All the testing is done with klein.inp. After opening and closing a graph window window switching works most of the time. However sometimes after closing a graph window or another window Command+` won't switch. Shift+Command+` sometimes will switch. Give focus to another applications and switch back to Gretl. And now Command+` will switch sequentially to all open Gretl windows. So the behaviour has improved tremendously but there is still a glitch.
