This is a benefit which might hurt a little at first ;-)
To me it sounds great, because I hope that subtle and hard-to-replicate
errors will become less when gretl internally will not let itself be
confused by the user input.
3) The main benefit that should eventually be visible to users is
the potential for substantial speed-up of big scripts.
Speed is always nice, but indeed I think there's a potential for less
errors and bugs which is even nicer.
