I don't have strong feelings either way on the issue of a separate
manual for hansl, but I do think that at least some of Sven's
suggestions for reorganization make sense, even if as a temporary
measure.
I too like Sven's proposal, but allow me to insist on the "separate file"
proposal.
In the future, it is conceivable that the audience for Gretl's User Guide
and the Hansl reference will be distinct. Overlapping, sure. But there
will surely be people who are interested in "getting things done" in gretl
without having to write scripts. OTOH, if I was interested in learning a
new scripting language, I would very much welcome a self-contained, 80-odd
page document which only contains what I need, as opposed to a large chunk
of a much bigger book. But maybe that's just me.
