Well, matplotlib is a python library, so adapting gretl to use it would be
a huge coding effort. Plus, is there any example in the page you link of
something gnuplot can't do? Make no mistake: beside other advantages
(stability, portability, ...), gnuplot is an _extremely_ powerful graphics
engine.
