I think that Portuguese users will not recognize "posto" as the translation
of "rank" in the context of matrix algebra (I think "posto"
corresponds to
"rank" in a military context). Possibly the Brazilian users will. I think
that for a Portuguese user "não tem posto completo" will sound funny.

Maybe it's a good time to remind all translators (and other interested

For Portuguese the suggested translation of "rank" is "posto" (
http://isi.cbs.nl/glossary/term2727.htm), which I found a little
surprising, but I only speak Spanish.
In German we would talk about the absence of full rank, so in case
Portuguese does it in similar ways perhaps something like "não tem posto
completo" ?
