Well, don't worry too much about those warnings.
GTK programs are expecting Gnome icons or themes. I use a Python programs
with this dependency path: wxPython >wxWidgets>GTK3
I do get a lot of those warnings, because I use KDE with unusual theme.

This is gtk3, obviously. I've seen such warnings and the missing icons
on the experimental Windows builds, but not on Linux so far (I think).
Not sure whether that's something gretl itself can solve.
