Hi Allin,
I´ve uninstalled completely all Gretl´s versions and execute
gretl_install.exe (2015/07/21, 14:03, 20Mb) on my Windows 8.1 environment.
It installs Gretl displaying the directory ...Program Files (x86)\gretl
Then I execute all the data installers (2015/07/21) and they put de data in
the displayed directory ...Program Files (x86)\gretl\data
Then I can see all the tabs in the 'sample files' option
(Gretl-Dougherty-ETM-...-Verbeek-Wooldridge).
Then I´ve uninstalled completely it again and all the data installers, and
run gretl_install-64.exe (2015/07/21, 14:04, 22Mb).
It installs Gretl displaying ...Program Files\gretl directory, and all the
data installers in ...Program Files\gretl\data directory.
So I think all works fine.
