Hi,
I'm attaching the German translation update de.po. I don't have a
read-write git checkout here right now, sorry, so could someone commit
this for me? Thanks.
And a question: Is "Working directory tooltip" really a translatable
string meant for the user, including the literal "tooltip"?
Finally, if we could wait with the release for a few days such that the
updated translations can be briefly tested (also on the Windows
snapshots) that would be nice.

That string was marked in error; I've now unmarked it.

Are there plans for a last Win snapshot? I cannot get my own git build
to start up in German (on Windows).

OK, I can see why that is: the location of the translations was
hard-wired for a "package build" when compiling for Windows (and was
therefore wrong for a "unix-style" build under MSYS2). That's now
fixed in git.

Nothing that needs to be changed for this upcoming release, but thereafter:
- In the font scaling dialog window there is string "Remember this
setting" which I think isn't marked for translation.
- When choosing Model/Time Series/Midas, the string "No MIDAS data were
found in the current dataset" apparently also not marked.
- I wonder whether menu entries that come from function packages should
be automatically marked as being contributed. Perhaps with a leading
'pk:' or something. One (but not the only) reason for this suggestion is
that those entries are not translated, which in a non-English
environment looks funny.
