Hi Allin,
I was learning about Matrices and I noticed that "Table 15.1: Valid
functions on an empty matrix, A" is placed after "15.3 Selecting
sub-matrices" , being confused with "... where rows can take any of these
forms:".
At page 110

Took a look to matrices.tex and the text flow was correct. Although is not
the correct thing to do, I have inserted at line 179:
\break %% Forcing the table before next section
This way, the section 15.3 starts at page 110 after table 15.1.

Hmm, that problem seems to be specific to the A4 version of the Guide
using CMR fonts; in the US letter version with CMR fonts, and in both
versions with Lucida fonts, Table 15.1 appears before the heading for
section 15.3. This is just one of those rare occasions when TeX does
something that doesn't look right.

I just committed a fix that looks better to me. Allin, could you please

I just committed a fix that looks better to me. Allin, could you please check
what happens with the Lucida fonts?
Seems to be OK. I've committed a slight modification, but retaining your
idea of condensing the table in question in the vertical dimension.

I think you're right. I'll have a look as soon as possible (not before
tomorrow, though).
Yes, right enough. The coefficients Ignacio got from wls were in fact OLS
coefficients (and the auxiliary statistics were therefore royally screwed
up). That's now fixed in CVS.
