fols() documentation

Hi,
looking at the function reference entry for the new fols() function, I
think the documentation needs some math, some examples, and/or a link to
more extensive explanations. I'm not sure I really understand what it
does, or if it really does what I could imagine it doing.

clipboard problems (copy&paste) with the Windows snapshot

Hi all,
this is with the Sep 1st snapshot on Win 11, but I'm also seeing this on
another Win-11 machine with the Aug-26th snapshot. Not sure when it started.
I cannot use copy&paste, e.g. in the script editor. No error, but also
no action. "Sometimes" it also affects clipboard usage in other apps
such as the built-in notepad. In those cases it seems to help to close
gretl. Right now after a restart of the computer the clipboard works in
notepad, however. (But not in gretl.)
I've tried both the keyboard combinations ctrl-c/v as well as the
clickable buttons.
Any ideas?

kalman detail question

Hi, don't have time to dig through the Kalman documentation right now;
is it supported or expected that a user could use kdsmooth() without
doing kfilter() first? Claude AI claims that some settings are ignored
when you don't have kfilter, so the question is whether the ignoring
part is a bug, or whether the omission of kfilter should be banned (or
whether the claim is wrong).
