Yes. I've been thinking about that and will post an RFC before long.
And slightly different: If I "export" data in the GUI, I
don't get the
compression level setting in the file save dialog which I do have under
save-as.
True enough; that option ought to appear if you select gdt from the data
export dialog. That should be a quick fix.
