So when you have all the sentences in "gretl.pot" translated you should rename it to "ja.po". I have just seen in the CVS there was already a traslation attempt by Masayuki Hatta, which I see it was not completed (the last update is on 2003-03-22). You may use it or overwrite it. When you have the file ja.po ready you must send it to Allin, because on the first time he must do some changes in the gretl configuration to make the translation active.
