Waiting for Allin's timezome
I meant to change substitute options
inside R foreign block only!
This would affect other uses of
@text no more than removing it
from R foreign completely
Also,
??"@@" gives nothing in R
May be it will be more simple
to change for @@text
INSIDE R FOREIGN BLOCK ONLY
I have also thought on strings
Allin should know what to do
more easy. May be he has
even better idea

Absolutely not, sorry. This would defeat the purpose of most string
substitution exercises.
If we are discussing medium-term solutions for the foreign environment,
then I would rather suggest to enable injecting strings (an array of
strings?) into the foreign language block somehow, but cleanly.
cheers,
