I'm not sure it has to be on by default, but on Windows you typically
"just start" gretl and it's not clear what the workdir is. In fact it
often happens to me that I save or export stuff too quickly and later I
have to go search for it, because the workdir is yesterday's setting. So
yes, I think it would be a useful reminder if it's more visible.
