This seems to be the answer: it was a gnuplot bug that has been
fixed since I built that package. There's now a replacement
binary package available:
http://ricardo.ecn.wfu.edu/pub/gretl/gnuplot-4.5-i586-2.tar.gz
and the page
http://gretl.sourceforge.net/gnuplot_for_gretl.html
is updated accordingly.
Allin.
Thanks, the problem is solved. But I could not install your binary, I
finally built gnuplot from their CVS.
Two problems when installing the binary:
1- in the web page it is indicated that gnuplot is installed into
/opt/gnuplot, but I find that now it is installed into /gnuplot
2- When I try to show a graph, Gretl (from CVS build date 2010-09-02)
produces the error: "Gnuplot is too old: must be >= version 4.2.0"
and no graph is displayed.
