I suspect it's being killed by the OS for consuming too much RAM.
There's a lot of data there (380 MB) but it ought to be readable
given a few GB of RAM. Our heuristic for determining the number of
observations (something that is not at all obvious in an XPORT file)
is in this case grossly overstating the number, leading gretl to
request an exorbitant amount of memory. I'll look into it.
