Great! It does have some practical advanages from the point of view of
the average user but the coolness factor alone justifies it.

OK, I think you've just about broken me down ;-)
My feeling was that if you want gretl to come up in a given
language, you just set LANG and go. That's what I do for testing.
But if lots of people want a GUI language selector I'll see how
hard that would be to do.
