A short wish list for gretl 1.7.6 (in order of priority):
1. Enable coping and pasting in the edit data window, as in spreadsheets.
2. A possibility to pack several functions together in one package, as sug
gested in
http://lists.wfu.edu/pipermail/gretl-devel/2008-March/000961.html. As note
by Gordon Hughes in his message the other day, this would make the process
of defining and using function packages rather easier. This should make it
possible for him to package all four stochastic frontier analysis functions
in one package.
3. A a new input parameter “select” as suggested in
http://lists.wfu.edu/pipermail/gretl-devel/2008-March/000961.html. It would
e.g. make it possible for the stochastic frontier analysis functions to
have drop-down lists for chosing model and type, instead of having the user
to input a string to identify the model and type. It would be much more
user friendly.
4. Implement Cox regression and other survival analysis functions.
